The lattice field theory group at Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana
invites applications for a postdoctoral position to be filled as soon as possible.
The staff members of the group are Sasa Prelovsek and Luka Leskovec.
The other staff members of the High Energy Theory group closely related to the topic of postdoctoral research are Jernej F. Kamenik and Svjetlana Fajfer. The area of research would include lattice QCD study of hadronic resonances, the scattering of hadrons, and electro-weak transition form factors.
The applicant must hold a Ph.D. in Theoretical Particle Physics and is expected to have experience in lattice gauge theory simulations. The initial appointment will be until October 2023, with a possible extension of up to one year.
To apply, please send a CV, list of publications, and statement of research interests to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Please, also arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent to these emails.
The Jozef Stefan Institute functions as a primary center for fundamental research in Slovenia, including theoretical and experimental high-energy particle physics (large member groups of BelleII and ATLAS collaborations), condensed matter physics, and biophysics. Many members of the Institute hold dual appointments with the Department of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana.
Informal inquiries to Sasa Prelovsek (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Luka Leskovec (email@example.com) are welcome.
