SUMMARY:Matej Kanduč\, "Microplastics through the lens of physics"
DESCRIPTION:Micro- and nanoplastics have emerged as persistent and pervasive pollutants\, raising concerns across environmental and biological systems. In this talk\, I will show how we can use ideas from soft matter physics\, especially colloid and interface science\, to better understand how these particles behave. We will look at how nano- and microplastics act like colloids and how their movement and interactions depend on their surface properties and the conditions around them.\nhttps://indico.ijs.si/event/2858/
