On June 7 – 9, 2023, Jožef Stefan Institute and University of Ljubljana will host “MBL symposium”. The purpose of this event is to bring together some leading scientists in the field of many-body localization (MBL) and ergodicity breaking phenomena. The latter has recently attracted significant scientific interest that resulted in numerous studies, predominantly carried out in finite quantum systems, which have given rise to the formulation of contradictory expectations for the behaviour in the thermodynamic limit. The main goal of the symposium is to present recent advances in this field as well as discuss future directions of research, which may shed some light on the current open questions.
