[Biophysics seminar] Urška Andrenšek: “The continuum approximation of the vertex model”

| The continuum-mechanics approach to the vertex model is useful to understand the phenomenology of tissue deformations during morphogenesis. I will review the past attempzs to derive the continuum theory and compare the theoretical results to the results of numerical simulation. Finally, I will discuss a more general approach to derivation of the continuum approximation of the vertex model. |
