The European Research Council (ERC) has announced the results of the Consolidator Grant call.
308 researchers have been selected from more than 2000 applicants, including prof. dr. Lev Vidmar, a colleague of the Department of Theoretical Physics F1.
Prof. dr. Vidmar, who is also an associate professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, impressed the ERC evaluators with his innovative idea to investigate thermalisation and ergodicity.
His project “Boundaries of quantum chaos” has been awarded €2 million over five years. This is the seventh ERC research project for the Jožef Stefan Institute and the only Slovenian one in this call.
